Great local bed and breakfast. Rooms are comfortable, food is great.

So it was on last August 1, me and my husband got to meet this sweet lady Jane and stayed at her house. It took me this long to write this review because I hesitated to do this earlier as English is not my first language and I am new to this country. During the summer months we travelled quite alot and at each stay we thought of green trails inn. The stay there was not preplanned and we jst googled a bed and breakfast near to us as we got tired on our drive back home. We were lucky enough to have Jane officially on leave but was willing to help us out. She gave me the sweetest welcome I received in US as of yet. Her passion for restoring beautiful antique pieces is seen in that entire house hold. We had a very cozy night and felt home in a king size bedroom. And then the plan was to have breakfast and resume our trip by around 9 next morning. However, we left her place only by 3:30 pm. Breakfast was delicious and was made to our preference by the cook book author herself. She shared the story behind the silverware, glass, the ingredients she used for that days breakfast (like the heirloom tomato fresh from a neighbouring farm) as she found we are interested. Jane offered us a tour to her other home which is bulit next to a waterfall. I could imagine some luckiest brides having their wedding planned there. The view from her home could never be forgotten. The bridge, lake, kayaks, fishing and that sunny summer eve. So this unplanned stay at green trails inn made Vermont my favourite state even though our initial plan was to just visit Ben and Jerry's and return home. Looking forward for next summer to go back to Jane and her beautiful home.
